** I wrote this “article” last November when I just started out my blog. I think it should be re-published due to its importance especially to the Juicy Couture fanatics.

The real scoop on Juicy Couture:

Come on’ now people, Juicy Couture is not as expensive as Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, D&G … Why buy fakes?

An authentic purse cost around $150 – $600. Some of the Juicy bags are quite expensive due to their materials such as soft leather.

Authenticity of Juicy Couture (according to me — based on my observations)

if you are paying for a purse that is over $200, check out how it is made; it should be flawless, perfect and sturdy. Their shouldn’t be any run-on stitches or lopsided handles.

Do some research on a certain bag that you like. Online bag forums are available. Also you can check JuicyCouture.com for any questions you have.

Check out the ‘J’ inside and outside the bag. It should be perfect! There should be a ‘J’ zipper inside or sometimes outside the bag or wallet. The ‘J’ stitching has to be precise no run-ons.

I think I have not seen any Juicy couture made from plastic material (except the beach bag which is pretty big and it includes towels, mats — depending on the design.)

Most of their materials are either terrycloth, velour, nylon, or leather

Juicy will almost always have “BLINGS” in their purses like having a huge soft ball made from velour, pleated scarf, a huge ring, mirror inside the purse … etc..

Also, Juicy bags are soft!! I think that’s one of Juicy’s signature, their softness …

Check out the inside (lining) of the bag. It should have the same color as the ‘exterior’ of the bag.

Check out their tags! Most of Juicy’s retail tags are rectangle that are in a vertical position. Also, they have the manufacturers price printed.

So far thats all I have noticed, if you have any additions… please feel free to add on my comment box!
